“Remember this, for it is as true and true gets: Your body is not a lemon. You are not a machine. The Creator is not a careless mechanic. Human female bodies have the same potential to give birth as well as aardvarks, lions, rhinoceri, elephants, moose, and water buffalo. Even if it has not been your habit throughout your life so far, I recommend that you learn to think positively about your body.”  -Ina May Gaskin

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with the process of pregnancy and childbirth. As a child I would come home from school and watch TLC’s “A Baby Story” with my grandmother.

I am a mother to two spectacular sons and a daughter. My birth experience with my oldest quickly taught me that birth is messy, miraculous, and beautiful, no matter the circumstances. After giving birth to my son I realized that supporting pregnant women and new mothers was something I wanted in my life. I found out I could become a labor doula, and have had a great support system in the birth community to get me this far.

I have supported all types of births including unmedicated, medicated, cesarean, and in all different birth locations. I hope to be a supportive, encouraging part of the most amazing day of your life.

Labor Doulaoula fee: $1250
